Terms of Service
Effective November 7, 2026. These pages have not yet been reviewed by an attorney. They describe how we actually work today, and we will update them after review.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Toledo Automations LLC (“we”, “us”) is run by James Walsh in Holland, Ohio, email [email protected]. These terms apply to this website and our services: Lead-Safe paperwork coordination, vacant-home registry help, the Landlord Compliance Calendar, and missed-call text-back and AI call answering for small businesses. By using a service, you (the owner or client) agree to these terms.
2. What we do, and what we are not
- We coordinate paperwork and send reminders. We organize your paperwork, prepare a packet, check that it looks complete, show you the steps to file, and send the reminders you agreed to.
- We are not a law firm and do not give legal or tax advice. For a City notice, court summons or legal question, talk to an attorney.
- We are not a lead inspector, risk assessor or clearance technician. You hire the inspector. We do not inspect, test, certify or do any lead-hazard work.
- We are not your agent. We do not act as your Lead-Safe agent or vacant-building agent under the Toledo Municipal Code, we do not accept legal papers for you, and we do not sign or submit anything in your name.
- We are not the City of Toledo or any government agency, and we are not affiliated with one. The City decides whether a certificate or registration is accepted. We cannot guarantee any result.
3. Your responsibilities
- You submit every application, registration, renewal and fee to the City yourself, and you are responsible for meeting every deadline that applies to your property.
- You give us accurate information and tell us when it changes.
- You check our completeness review, reminders and dates against official City and County sources before relying on them. Our dates are reminders, not legal deadlines.
- You do not send us tenant personal information.
4. Passwords and accounts
We never hold, ask for or use your passwords for the City permit portal or any other account, and we never log in as you. If anyone claiming to be us asks for a password, do not give it.
5. Fees
- Missed-call text-back and AI answering is $150 per month after a free 14-day pilot. No card is needed to start the pilot, and nothing converts to paid automatically.
- For other services, we confirm the price with you in writing before any work is billed.
- City fees, inspector fees and other third-party charges are yours to pay directly. They are not included in our fees, and we do not collect them for you.
- No payment is taken on this website right now.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. You keep the service until then and are not charged for later months. After cancellation, reminders stop and we handle your data as our Privacy Policy describes. We may end a service by email notice, or right away if these terms are broken.
7. Email reminders
Reminders are a convenience. A reminder that is late, filtered as spam or not delivered does not change your deadline or your responsibility. You can stop reminders at any time.
8. Limits of our responsibility
- The services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promise that a certificate, registration or other approval will be issued, or that information from public sources is complete or current.
- We are not responsible for fines, penalties, fees, lost rent, court costs or other losses caused by a missed deadline, a City decision, an inspector's work, wrong information you gave us, or a reminder that did not arrive.
- Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Missed-call text-back (clients)
- The client approves the call notice and texts used for its callers.
- Callers can opt out by replying STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL or UNSUBSCRIBE. Plain-language requests are honored too. Opt-outs are applied automatically and never later than 10 business days after receipt, and the client honors every opt-out on all its phones.
- Every text carries “Reply STOP to opt out.” We do not send marketing messages through this program.
- The automated assistant never quotes a price, arrival time or appointment.
10. Acceptable use
Don't use the services to send messages without consent, to contact people who have opted out, or for anything unlawful.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we email current customers before it applies.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
